As a No Kill Shelter one of the things we are faced with is end of life care for some of our residents. Our Hospice Program is for the kitties residing here that still have quality of life, but have been diagnosed with a life limiting (terminal) illness. We feel that a home environment, where they can live out their last days in dignity and comfort, is the greatest gift we can give them.
 
Being a Hospice Care Giver is not for everyone. In fact it can be very difficult. And while it can be emotionally challenging to take home a terminal animal, the gratitude and love you will receive in return is beyond measure.
