All About Animeals

The mission of AniMeals No-Kill Adoption Center and Animal Food Bank is to save the hungry, the helpless, the lost, and the little ones just struggling to survive; to house and feed as many animals as possible; to ease the suffering of the weak and unloved.

In 2003, AniMeals began as a grassroots effort to collect food for animal shelters and rescues in and around Missoula. Today, in addition to operating a pet food bank that distributes more than 6 tons of food yearly, we provide a safe and soft landing spot for adoptable felines waiting for faithful companions. We accept cats from Missoula Animal Control, owner surrenders, transfers from other shelters, and cats left in our safe haven box.

AniMeals is unique because we are Missoula County’s only feline-centric brick-and-mortar shelter. We are equipped to care for cats with significant, but treatable or manageable, medical conditions. AniMeals is committed to finding homes for felines considered “hard to place”, and we never euthanize for space. Each year, AniMeals matches ~370 cats with loving adopters.
