Commemorate your ineffable love for your pets by commissioning a digital rendering of your companion animal, and support AniMeals shelter cats at the same time. Throughout the month of June 2024, Missoula-based artist and AniMeals volunteer Jedd Schapley will turn photos of your pets into a digital rendering. With a $50 donation, you'll receive a .png of your pet's transformed photo that can be used to personalize all kinds of items such as cards, t-shirts, mugs, puzzles and more! Your options are only limited by your imagination!

Here's how it works:

1. Fill out the Jotform below and make sure to upload two pictures of your pet. Please only upload pictures with one pet in it as the artist likes to focus on individual pet portraits. Your photos will be sent to the artist to create the final product.

2. AniMeals staff will send you a payment link via email with any follow-up questions.

3. Jedd will send your digital rendering as a .png to your personal inbox for approval. Please give us two weeks to process your photo. Please check your spam folder if you do not see an email from Jedd.

That's it!

All proceeds will go directly into the Critical Care Fund, which helps cover the cost of urgent surgeries and specialized treatments that will restore a homeless feline's quality of life. These costs can range from $500 to $3000 depending on the treatment plan. Your gift helps us address significant medical issues, including broken bones, tail amputations, eye enucleations, and so much more!

Artist Statement:

My name is L Jedd Schapley, I am a Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist (CBHPSS) in Montana. What that means, is that I am a complete pro in Mental Health Advocacy, Support, Trauma Stigma Busting and sometimes Addictions! What that also means is that I have personally suffered Trauma and Psychosis.

I am a local career artist. When I studied art as a young man and individual at University of Montana, I was basically a Realist. My theory then changed from ink and paper to dynamic forms of abstract thought expression. I painted on anything available from rocks to cardboard, authentically and speaking clearly through visual art. I hung art pieces for several years at Western Montana Mental Health Center during that time.

Now, I have nearly 15 years working the idea of Recovery, additionally, have become a front line worker for those with disabilities (always integrating the ideas of art and music, ESA's and so on). I achieve solace in sitting with the AniMeals cats during volunteer shifts, and have been doing professional Pet Portraits focusing on Service Animals for several years.

It is my focus to bring attention to the most underserved spirits, including our animals. I am always peaceful when sitting, getting to know, and drawing the AniMeals cats. There have been a few that I would like to have brought home and almost all that have now do have homes!

We are grateful to Jedd for the time and talent he donates to AniMeals each week!
